The Haryana State Government has announced April 10 as Holiday in view of General Elections 2014. April 10 has been declared as a holiday for people to cast their vote in the Lok Sabha Elections 2014. Under section 135 B of the Representation of the People Act, paid holiday will be observed on the polling day for people who are enrolled as voters. Haryana State Govt Employees, employees of various factories, shops, private establishments which are located in Haryana are allowed to take leave on the election day.
