Holiday is declared on 7th May 2014 for 13 districts of Seemandhra for AP Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections. Parliament and Assembly elections will be held on the 7th May 2014 in Seemandhra. Govt offices will remain closed on the Poll day. Holiday is applicable to private sector employees also. Under section 135 B of the Representation of the People Act, paid holiday will be observed on the polling day for people who are enrolled as voters.

AP State Govt Employees, employees of various factories, shops, private establishments which are located in Andhra Pradesh are allowed to take leave on the election day that is 7.05.2014 in Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Guntur, Krishna, Prakasam, Nellore, Kadapa, Kurnool, Anantapur and Chittoor.
There are 175 Assembly constituencies and 17 Parliament constituencies in Seemandhra area of Andhra Pradesh. Elections will be held on 30.04.2014 in the 10 districts of Telangana.
