Government of India, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Department of Posts have issued a recruitment notification for the post of Postal Assistants, Sorting Assistants. Applications are invited form the eligible persons for filling the vacancies of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants/Postal Assistants (Savings Bank Control Organization)/Postal Assistants (Foreign Post Organization)/Postal Assistants (Returned Letter Offices)/Postal Assistants (Mail Motor Services) And Postal Assistants (Circle And Regional Offices) for the year 2013 -2014 in 22 Postal Circles in the Country

Written Examination was held on the 27th of April 2014 for some postal circles that include Delhi, Kerala, Rajasthan, Assam, Chhattisgarh, North East, Odisha, Haryana, Karnataka, Rajasthan. This exam will also be conducted on the 4th of May 2014 for some circles which includes Jharkhand.

Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants Written Examination Structure is as follows.
Part A: General Knowledge - 25 Questions - 25 Marks
Part B: Maths - 25 Questions - 25 Marks
Part C: English - 25 Questions - 25 Marks
Part D: Reasoning and Analytical Ability - 25 Questions - 25 Marks
Total : 100 Marks
