Varanasi Lok Sabha election will be conducted on the 12th of May 2014. A total of 78 nominations have been filed for this constituency, but 34 nominations have been rejected due to various reasons. In the year 2009 the Bharatiya Janata Party has won the Varanasi (ST) Lok Sabha seat. Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi of BJP Party has won this seat and elected to the 15th Lok Sabha.
