Holiday has been declared on 30th April 2014 in Andhra Pradesh for Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections. Parliament and Assembly elections will be held on the 30th April 2014 in Telangana and again on 7th May 2014 in Seemandhra area. Both days has been declared as holidays for the respective constituencies. Govt offices will remain closed on the Poll day. Holiday is applicable to private sector employees also. Under section 135 B of the Representation of the People Act, paid holiday will be observed on the polling day for people who are enrolled as voters. AP State Govt Employees, employees of various factories, shops, private establishments which are located in Andhra Pradesh are allowed to take leave on the election day.
